(Reprinted from The Elmer Journal, 1909)

This level headed young businessman is engaged in the manufacture of building blocks and takes contracts for building sidewalks, foundations, etc.  and his work is first class in every respect.  He is one of those big hearted men that is willing to run his hand in his pocket when anything comes up that’s going to help the public or town.  His plant is a good one and he works three hands all through the Cement season which adds to the circulation of the needful to the tune of over $100 per month which by the way helps to make things go.  It’s the man that spends money in a town that helps it and the more of them the better, hence we cannot afford to turn down any home institution.  Stay with home contractors and they will stay with you.
